Other people probably already know this so this is really just a note for myself. I recently needed to take a screenshot of something on my iPhone and didn't know how to do it. It's actually surprisingly easy but not likely to be the kind of thing you would stumble upon. All I needed to do was:
Get the screen you want on the screen
Press and hold the "home" button and press the "sleep" button, the release both in the same way you would press Shift and 4 to get a $ sign on a keyboard.
The screen flashed white and the image then ends up in your camera roll.
You can then email it or transfer it like any other photo.
