No more XP "downgrade" rights?

Microsoft still has a program in place whereby computer buyers who purchase machines that come with Windows 7 Professional can "downgrade" them to Windows XP Pro. But that program is set to end when Windows 7 SP1 is released (or April 2011, whichever comes first). After that, most customers won't be able to get XP for a new system - except via the XP Mode Virtual Machine for Windows 7 Pro. Microsoft is working on SP1. No release date has been given, but it's likely it will happen long before the April 2011 date, so if you're interested in taking advantage of that offer, you probably need to do it sooner rather than later.
